The YubiKey Security Key Series is Yubico's FIDO2-focused range - a streamlined, affordable option for anyone who primarily needs phishing-resistant two-factor authentication for modern web services and apps.

Available in USB-A (Security Key NFC) and USB-C (Security Key C NFC), both with NFC for tap authentication on smartphones. Works with Google, Microsoft, GitHub, Dropbox, and any service supporting FIDO2 or WebAuthn.

Security Key vs YubiKey 5 Series - what's the difference? The Security Key supports FIDO2 and WebAuthn only. If you also need Smart Card (PIV), OpenPGP, or OTP support for enterprise or government environments, the YubiKey 5 Series is the better fit. For most personal and SMB use cases, the Security Key Series does the job at a lower price point.
